How To Play

Format

  • This website will be your guide over the course of the hunt. Once you have registered, the “Puzzles” page will contain your first puzzle and the introduction to the story. From there, as you solve puzzles, you will unlock additional puzzles on the “Puzzles” page, until you have solved them all!
  • There is no limit to team size, but we recommend a small group (2-6), as for much of the hunt you’ll all be working on the same puzzle and the same time.

Solving

  • When entering your answer, use numerals (0-9) if your answer is a number, and use letters (A-Z) if your answer is a word. If your answer is a time of day, enter it as it would appear on a digital clock (e.g. “2:37” or “11:08”).
  • Hints are available for every puzzle, and you are free to look at them at any point! Be sure to start with the first hint and work your way down -- the final hint for every puzzle will just tell you the solution. If you’re feeling stuck on something and all the hints didn’t help, or a certain puzzle is just not striking your fancy, you can always look at the solution, enter it, and move on!
  • You have 20 total guesses for each puzzle. If you’re getting close to the end of your guesses, we recommend looking at more of the hints to make sure you are on the right track.

Other

  • There are no other rules, really! You can use the internet as much as you’d like -- you may need to research and find things online in order to solve certain puzzles. Please try to avoid spoiling anything for other groups (e.g. don’t post a walkthrough online, because that would just ruin other people’s fun).
  • It costs just $30 per team (plus tax)! For ~6 hours of puzzling! Wow!
